LPU is an extensive campus bustling with cultural, educational and sports activities that help each student to achieve an overall growth and development.

Sports Activities : LPU nurtures various teams for participation in Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Championships, All India Inter- university competitions and other national and international competitions.

Sports Complex: LPU has 36+ men/women trained coaches to run the sports club. LPU has one of the largest indoor sports complex (1.5 Lac sq. ft. approx) comprising of 12 Badminton Courts, 6 Squash Courts, Shooting Range, Olympic Size Pool, Warm-Up Pool, Diving Pool, Wrestling & Boxing Arena, State- of-the-Art Gymnasium. Lovely Professional University is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) for admission in 150+ programmes. Since its inception in 2009, more than 75,000 students are appearing in this exam (LPUNEST) every year. Students completed or appearing in 10+2 or Graduation can apply for LPUNEST. LPUNEST will be conducted in university designated test center online mode (Pen and Paper Mode test is not allowed) as per the schedule mentioned on the university website: www.lpu.in. This test will have two-fold advantage as it will act as an Entrance as well as Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination

UG PROGRAMME – Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST* or UCEED or Under Graduate NID DAT (Prelims) or Under Graduate NIFT or NIFT B.FTech.

 

PG PROGRAMME – Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 4 Years Bachelor’s Degree with Design or Fine Arts or Applied Arts or B. Arch. or B. Plan. or B. Construction Management or B.Tech. (Any Stream) or Allied fields or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST * or CEED or NID-PG or NIFT-PG.

(5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants)

*The LPUNEST exam offers convenient choices to candidates: Online remotely proctored from Home (recommended by the university, based on available resources) or Test centre-based options.

Overview

Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University extends Scholarship Scheme which is an initiative by the University to cultivate the talent of students that may be hidden due to financial constraints. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D

 

Scholarship Categories: Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on any of the following categories:

  • Eligibility Qualification
  • LPU’s Entrance and Scholarship Test : LPUNEST
  • Certain National Level Entrance Tests (UCEED, NIFT Entrance Exam, NID DAT, CEED)

 

  • Scholarship Brackets: For each category mentioned, three brackets of Scholarship (Bracket 1, 2 and 3) are defined. Each bracket has its own respective criteria which need to be met for availing the applicable scholarship. Therefore, the students meeting the requirement of Bracket- 1 gets the highest Scholarship and those in Bracket – 2 or 3 gets relatively lesser scholarship.

 

  • Scholarship Phases: The amount of Scholarship also depends on the Phase in which the candidate takes admission in the university. Phase – I starts as early as December 2021 and continues till end of April 2022. The subsequent phases are conducted only if the seats in the concerned Programme remain vacant. Admissions in LPU are done in different Phases, which are bifurcations of the admission time period. The amount of Scholarship reduces with each passing phase and no Scholarship is offered in subsequent phases (if conducted). Application forms can be obtained and submitted using one of the following methods

Option I- Online Mode

Visit the admissions link and complete the following steps:

  • Step 1 – Sign Up : Register onto LPUADMIT(admission.lpu.in) with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password).
  • Step 2 – Payment for LPUNEST Kit:-The cost of LPUNEST Kit needs to be paid by the applicant as per his/ her choice. The payment can be made using Online banking/Credit card/debit card / UPI.

Application Fee:-

  • Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is `1000 (for Boys) and `500 (for Girls).
  • Printed LPUNEST Kit is `1500 (for Boys) and `1000 (for Girls
  • Step 3: General Information and Qualification details :-The application form details like aadhar card number, address details and qualification details need to be filled by the applicant
  • Step 4: Exam Information:- Applicant needs to book the slot (preferred venue, date and time as per their choice) to appear in the LPUNEST Exam.

Applicant can also download the hall ticket from the portal.

After qualifying LPUNEST, applicant can proceed with counselling process for UG Design programme and for PG Design programme, applicant can proceed with admission process.

Option-II: Offline Mode

LPUNEST Kit may be obtained by the applicant from the University Campus or any other prescribed place by paying cash.

Application Fee: – Cost of Application form of LPUNEST Kit is `1000 (for Boys) and `500      (for Girls)   from University Campus or any other prescribed place by paying cash.

Once the applicant has obtained the LPUNEST Kit, application form can be submitted by one of the following methods:

Manual Application: Fill the full application form (OMR sheet) after reading all the instructions as specified under the head “Instructions for filling Application Form (OMR sheet)” and send it to the university in the self-addressed envelope on the following

Semi-Offline Application: In case applicant is unable to send the hard copy of application form (OMR Sheet), then applicant may scratch the Unique OMR code available on application form(OMR Sheet) and follow the below mentioned steps:

    1. Sign up on LPU ADMIT portal (admission.lpu.in)
    2. When prompted for payment, choose the option of Unique OMR Code (given on OMR Sheet) and fill the same.

After successful submission of online application form, refer the step- 3 of Online Mode option as mentioned above
